How it works
Two ways to prove it
School email
Sign in with your university address — .edu, or your country's equivalent such as ac.uk or edu.au. The sign-in link proves it is yours, so the rate applies straight away.
Student ID
At school without an academic address, or at a high school? Apply below and email a photo of your student ID or an enrolment letter. A person checks it, usually within two business days.
It stays
Once you are verified, Pro is $3 a month for as long as your subscription runs. We do not ask you to prove it again, and we do not raise it when you graduate.

Sign in with your school email address and the student rate is applied to your account automatically. If your school does not issue one, sign in with any address and come back here to apply.
We do not keep your document. It is read in the review mailbox and deleted once the decision is made. Your account keeps only the decision, the school you typed and the date — see the privacy policy.
What do I get for the student rate?
All of Geovoya Pro: walk mode, any route speed, multi-stop routes, GPX and KML, realistic movement, the 500-route library with on-map editing, up to three phones at once and cloud sync. It is the same product as the $15 plan, at $3 a month.
Which email addresses qualify automatically?
Addresses on academic domains: anything ending in .edu, and the academic domains other countries use, such as ac.uk, edu.au, ac.jp, edu.sg and similar. If your school issues you an address on one of those, sign in with it and the rate is applied without anyone reviewing anything.
I am at high school. Can I get it?
Yes, through the application below. High schools almost never issue academic email addresses, so a person checks a student ID or enrolment letter instead. You need to be old enough to hold an account and to pay, which means 13 or older and able to use a payment method of your own; otherwise ask a parent to subscribe for you.
What do you do with my student ID?
It is emailed to the review mailbox, looked at by a person, and deleted from that mailbox once the decision is made. It is never uploaded into Geovoya and never stored with your account: all we keep is the decision, the school you typed, who reviewed it and the date. Cover anything we do not need — a student number, a date of birth or an address can all be blacked out.
Is there a yearly student plan?
Not at the moment. The student rate is monthly only, at $3 a month, and you can cancel at any time. The regular yearly plan is open to you as well if you would rather pay once a year.
What happens when I finish school?
Nothing. The rate holds for as long as the subscription runs. If you cancel and come back later, you would need to qualify again.
